REMOTE (EEA) Software Engineer – IntelliJ Plugin Development

We’re looking for a Software Engineer or Developer to maintain and enhance an internal documentation authoring tool. This tool includes an IntelliJ IDEA plugin that assists technical documentation authors, as well as a builder component that transforms XML and Markdown files into HTML output. You may also contribute to the frontend application used for rendering the documentation.

This role involves implementing new features, fixing bugs, and ensuring the stability and performance of the plugin and related components.

• Maintain and improve the internal IntelliJ IDEA plugin.
• Develop new features and extend functionality as needed.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
• Monitor performance and implement optimizations.
• Collaborate with technical writers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to maintaining the documentation builder, CI/CD pipeline, and frontend application.

Požadavky

• Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin for IntelliJ plugin development.
• 3+ years of experience with IntelliJ plugin development.
• Familiarity with XML and Markdown parsing patterns.
• Ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Basic understanding of frontend development (preferably React).
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration (TeamCity).
• Familiarity with Python for scripting.
